Doug Philp

Doug specializes in hand-crafted sculpture created from reclaimed, repurposed, urban harvested wood and scrap metals. First picking up carving knives & chisels 15 years ago, he prefers to use wood that would otherwise be cast-off; creating one-of-a-kind pieces that show their character and history with natural wood grain, minor imperfections and tool marks. Each piece is a unique tribute to our natural world. Doug has added blacksmithing to his repertoire in recent years and enjoys combining these two old-world crafts to create unique pieces that give these materials new life.
